At a glance
- Calculations and notes are processed and saved on your device.
- The free app uses advertising. Google Firebase Analytics is also integrated.
- You decide when to share a calculation or show a widget result on the lock screen.
- Apple handles payments. Buying Pro removes ads, but does not disable usage analytics.
1. Scope
This policy applies to Smart Calculator (also named 超级计算器), provided by independent developer Mac Zhou, App Store ID 1322880549. It does not apply to Folder or other software listed on this website.
It describes the current calculator implementation, including features introduced in version 5.0.0. Some features, including widgets, depend on your app version, operating system, and purchase entitlement. Earlier versions may not include every feature described here. No separate developer-operated account is required to calculate.
2. Calculations and local data
The app evaluates expressions on your device and locally stores calculation history, results, notes, saved records, and preferences such as language, appearance, number formatting, sound, and keyboard layout. It also stores limited operational preferences, such as whether a guidance message has appeared.
There is no developer-operated server for storing or evaluating your calculation records. The app does not intentionally send expression or note contents as advertising or analytics events. This does not mean that the app has no network activity: the third-party services below process their own service data.
The app does not provide its own cloud synchronization of calculation history. Depending on your device settings, Apple device backups may contain app data. Backups are distinct from an app-operated synchronization service.
Key sounds and spoken results use bundled audio processed on the device. This feature does not record your voice or require microphone access.
3. Widgets and lock-screen results
The app and its widgets share a device-local container containing the widget’s separate calculation, display preferences, and purchase-access state. The widget does not receive your full history or notes. You may choose to continue a widget calculation in the app.
Lock-screen result display is off by default. If you enable it, people who can see your screen may see the widget expression and result, subject to system privacy settings. You can turn this off in the app. Hiding a result or removing a widget does not by itself erase its saved calculation; use the widget’s AC control to clear it.
The shared widget file uses system file protection and is excluded from device backups.
4. Sharing, clipboard, and permissions
When you request sharing, the app creates an image on your device. It can contain expressions, results, notes, and saved-record information. Review it before choosing a recipient or destination. The app passes the content to the system sharing service and the destination you select; the receiving service’s rules then apply. An App Store QR code in the image does not encode your calculation records.
Saving an image to Photos may require permission to add images. Copy and paste actions use the system clipboard when you invoke them; content you copy may become available through system clipboard features. The app does not need your contacts or precise location to calculate.
5. Advertising
The free app integrates Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads. Its SDK may process IP addresses, device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic or performance information to deliver, measure, and maintain advertising. IP addresses can be used to estimate a general location without the app requesting precise-location permission.
Where available, Apple’s tracking prompt controls access to tracking permission. You can change it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Refusing tracking does not remove ads or stop all service or analytics data processing; it is not a general analytics opt-out.
With a recognized Pro entitlement, the app stops loading ads. This does not delete information already processed by an advertising service.
Details: Google Privacy Policy and Google Mobile Ads data disclosure.
6. Usage analytics
The app initializes Google Firebase Analytics at launch. The SDK can automatically record app usage events, session and screen activity, app-instance or installation identifiers, and device, system, language, and network-related information. These help understand app usage and improve the service. We do not deliberately attach the text of your calculations or notes to these events.
The current app does not provide a separate in-app analytics switch. Pro removes advertising, not Analytics. Apple’s tracking setting and the app’s sound or haptic settings do not switch Analytics off. You may contact us about collection and deletion using the address below.
See Firebase privacy information and Google Privacy Policy for how these services handle data.
7. Purchases and restoration
Apple StoreKit processes Pro purchases and restoration. The app reads transaction verification and entitlement information to determine access, and caches necessary access state on the device for the app and widgets. Apple handles payment-account, card, and billing information; we do not receive your card details. Deleting local app data does not cancel an Apple purchase or erase Apple’s transaction records.
8. Retention and deletion
- History and notes: remain locally until you delete the relevant records, clear them, or delete the app and its data. Clearing the home calculation list does not necessarily delete separately saved archives.
- Widget calculation: remains in the shared container until cleared or its app data is removed. Hiding it is not deletion.
- Preferences and access cache: remain in app storage until changed or the corresponding app data is removed. Offloading an app may retain its data.
- Shared images and clipboard copies: are separate from the original record. Delete them from Photos, the receiving app, or other destinations where you saved them. Clearing calculator history cannot recall a shared image.
- Backups: are managed separately through your Apple device or account settings.
- Service data: advertising, analytics, and transaction data are retained under the relevant service configuration, processing purposes, and applicable obligations. Local deletion does not automatically erase data already sent to those services.
Contact us to request access to or deletion of data we control. We will assess whether it can be associated with your request and use the available service controls where applicable. We cannot retrieve calculation records stored only on your device. Do not send passwords, payment details, or sensitive calculations when making a request.
9. Your choices and rights
You can manage tracking and Photos permissions in system settings, choose whether to share, hide lock-screen results, delete records, and contact us about privacy. Stopping use and deleting the app stops future activity generated by that installation, but does not automatically remove existing service records or backups.
Depending on the law applicable to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal data, withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, and complain to a data-protection authority. We may need proportionate information to verify a request. Reading this policy is not consent to tracking or another permission; the applicable permission and consent requirements still apply.
10. Security and processing locations
Local data is subject to the protections of your device and operating system. Protect your device, screen, backups, and Apple Account. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Apple and Google may process service data outside your country or region under their applicable service terms and data-protection arrangements. Transfers and processing remain subject to applicable legal requirements. We do not sell your calculation or note contents. The advertising-related processing described above should not be understood as an absence of third-party data sharing.
11. Children
The app is a general-purpose calculator, not a service designed specifically for children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal data to us can contact us to request review and appropriate action. Applicable protections for children continue to apply.
12. Updates and contact
We update this policy when relevant features, service providers, or data practices change. The date and policy version above identify this revision. Where required, material changes will be accompanied by additional notice or a request for consent.
